Nearly a D.I.Y.

This weekend I picked up these beautiful Billy Buttons (my favourite flower!) at the market. I realised I'd had one of those big bottles of apple juice lying around, waiting to see what I could do with it and I guess it all clicked! This would make a beautiful / inexpensive centre piece for a dining, vanity table or on the top of a dresser.

The steps are not rocket science, but I nevertheless documented the process.

First wash your juice bottle well and then dry, then peel off the sticker (quite hard on itself, but can be done!)

The glue residue is quite stubborn.

Some of the best tricks I've heard of to get rid of it are alcohol / acetone, eucalyptus oil or covering it with peanut butter for an hour and then wash off with warm water. I just went with soap and warm water.

After that, it's just a matter of putting the flowers in and displaying it wherever you choose! I would also love trimming the stems of the Billy Buttons and putting them in small milk bottles or Frapuccino bottles from Starbucks!
